6 cups spelt flour
3 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 1/4 cup butter flavored shortening or butter

Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse corn meal. Store in a container with tight-fitting lid. Makes 7 1/2 cups of biscuit mix. And just like "Bisquick" may be used for many other things than just biscuits.

To make biscuits: Use1/3 cup almond milk (or a bit more) per cup of biscuit mix.
